As a MCT Assembly & Test Operations Excellence Snr Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will support and facilitate the Operations Excellence team to define and lead operations excellence initiatives for the network sites. You will be required to make use of your strong analytical ability to identify opportunities, structure sustainable solutions/business process and effectively collaborate with various functional teams across different sites to roll out implementations towards Best in Class operations. You will be working closely with the Operations Excellence/Total Productivity Management (TPM) team at each site to deliver operations goals in Productivity (labor/machine throughput), efficiency (Cost/Cycle time/Space) and the sharing of best known methods (BKM). You shall need to be equipped with deep knowledge and identified as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Lean 6 Sigma, Factory Physics knowledge, and Theory of Constraint that will deliver competitive and quality results in Assembly & Test network sites.
Responsibilities and Tasks Develop and manage of centralized platform/governance and roadmap for operational excellence improvement activities. (Labor, Machine, Metrics/Measurements, Space Efficiency) Structuring and detailing the priorities of an operational excellence initiative Design and delivery of Lean Manufacturing/Operations Excellence trainings to improve the maturity of a Lean/Continuous improvement culture Identifying and introducing key methods for operational excellence, and tailoring this methodology to the specific functions/business partners Collaboration with Site Cross Functional Team & ensure the calibration of the site according to best practices (Best Known Methods) Coaching and supporting projects and employees in implementing methods, such as value stream analysis, process mapping, and standardization of modules and process steps Networking across the organization to ensure coherence of operational excellence activities along work processes end-to-end, and achieving buy-in of key organizational stakeholders (“connecting the dots”) Fostering a company-wide culture of operational excellence by modelling and promoting the associated behaviors Implementing central IT tools and databases to support the seamless introduction of standards along work processes Measuring operational excellence by defining, tracking, and reporting KPIs to create transparency for management and other stakeholders Carry out on site diagnostics allowing the site projects to be identified Ability to support short travel assignments (~1 week period)
Qualification Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience (semiconductor Assembly & Test is preferred) Fluent in English (written and spoken) Strong collaborative skill, effective in communications, Good program/project management, exceptional analytical skill. SQL query, Tableau, Power BI knowledge and capability will be of added advantage.
