Principal accountabilities 1.Assist the Project Manager in preparing and developing mechanical design basis /URS of process equipment for the Capital Expenditure projects. 2.Engineering of Capital Projects through front end design, procurement, installation and commissioning of site infrastructure and process equipment to agreed specifications, ensuring that key stakeholders are consulted at each stage of the project lifecycle, 3.Technical bidding and verify for key process equipment to support equipment purchase. 4.Clarify with UK project/Maintenance team to make sure key equipment spec meet related requirement. 5.Undertake key aspects of project work such as: technology transfer from UK; process development for utilities package and HVAC, participate in technical clarification with vendors and design reviews; creation of documentation and management of data; etc. 6.Collaboration with Operations, Technology, Technical and Safety specialists the completion of User Requirement Specifications (URS), CAPEX requests, Hazard Study Documentation and Risk Assessments as required. 7.Consider design for manufacture, process flow (factory layout) and sustainability principles when providing key inputs for the successful purchase of new process and service equipment. 8.Leveraging outside partners and suppliers for solution development and design including the sourcing, recommendation, and selection of equipment suppliers (vendor bid analysis). 9.Manage and control the safe installation of equipment on site including the supervision and safe management of on-site contractors. 10.Support trouble-shooting during installation and start-up, ensuring a smooth hand over to operations. 11.Effectively communicates and collaborates openly with vendors, internal management and other engineers within Johnson Matthey. 12.To carry out or undertake any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed. Qualifications/ knowledge/ experience (Technical/ professional knowledge and skills competency) 1.Degree level qualification or equivalent in Chemical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering 2.Proven experience of the delivery of Capital Projects (~5+ years) 3.Familiar with Hazard Studies and Risk Assessments 4.Familiar with Process System& Process Equipment Calculations, Equipment Specifying 5.Awareness of working with and specifying site utilities 6.Competence with CAD and Microsoft Project 7.Familiar with powder handling system 8.Experience with automation of fabrication and Agitator vessels/ Mills/centrifuge
