As a Product Development Assistant Manager, you will lead the team to improve the development, process and commercialization of coating products for consumer electronic application. You will work in the lab in our CAIC in Zhangjiagang. You will report to S&T Customer Support Senior Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical team to design, and test UV product that meet customer requirements and are based on an understanding of chemistry and interactions.
Oversee and mentor team members and technical expert and technicians to work on design, including formulation and testing.
Work with external and internal raw materials suppliers to incorporate new raw materials and technology into PPG products
Manage team’s projects, including project management, capturing updates, meeting internally and externally, and reporting.
Monitor the technology landscape, including the patent landscape, and produce new patents.
Collaborate with the customer development team on product manufacture, line trial and launch activities; occasionally provide on-site technical support during launch stage
Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
At least 8 years of experience with the formula of product, experience with consumer electronic product and water-based coating.
Experience with team management and multi-location management.
Good English skill, fluent speak and able to handle the English conference calls
Good collaboration skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented, global environment are important since you will collaborate with local customer development team and global technical team
