1.Using advanced quality tools and methods, support Quality Manager to Implement, improve and monitor the company’s management system to meet customer and LPA's requirements and expectations. Lead, develop and coach Branch staff to play the roles of (police, doctor and coach) and facilitate quality branch activities. Review and develop action plans to improve Branch KPI (Cost of poor quality, internal PPM, Customer PPM, PPAP submission on time). Lead problem solving (8D report etc.), implement corrective actions in a Branch, and document it in knowledge database. Support Quality Manager to hold the Branch team accountable for maintaining records and reports in a concise manner, and update documents accordingly.
2.When involved in product launch, champion advanced quality planning process on developing customer programs by acting as internal and external customer liaison. Plan and prevent customer concerns using advanced quality planning concepts and methods (including DFMEA, PFMEA etc.) in conjunction with core team by being the quality liaison. Work with Manufacturing, Branch Quality, Supplier Development, Materials, and Engineering on product development and implementation. Create and update as necessary prototype and early production containment instructions for developing and launching programs (safe launch). Perform PPAP documentation for all customers using AIAG Standards or customer specified format. Develop methods to check and ensure downstream quality in new products (APQP and safe launch) and ensure quality of existing products.
3.Assist Quality Manager and quality department to provide support to branch operations (such as continuous improvements and LAMPS) and service to the customer. Establish and implement procedures to ensure quality of the incoming and outgoing material.
4. Ensure Compliances of quality, regulatory, and customer requirements, such as IATF 16949, RoHS, IMDS, ISO/IEC 17025, etc.
5.When involved in PPAP, review, coordinate and prepare PPAP submissions, and follow up for approvals. Maintain a tracking database to ensure status and that all submissions are planned for and prepared in advance with sufficient time for review prior to submission. Interface with Current Production Core Team and other related Engineering activity to ensure proper PPAP approval is obtained for all engineering changes. Follow up with unresponsive customers to ensure feedback is received in a timely manner. Communicate PPAP status to the appropriate functional groups to ensure all products being shipped are approved by the customer.
6. Maintain/improve customer and supplier intimacy through customer visit/contact and create effective working relations.
7.When applicable: maintain, verify and approve measurement and test equipment and gauge. Set-up and verify gauge repeatability and reproduce ability studies, develop and implement proper calibration and usage methods. Establish and maintain gauge software systems and keep all equipment calibrated and ready to use.
