1. Performing the 3D design of railway rolling stock battery system with Creo/ProE. The battery system is consisted of standard blocks and some electric components (fuse, switch, cables etc.), these parts are then integrated into a steel battery box (500kg to 2t in total for one battery system). 2. Contact the customer (domestic and oversea) to make the technic proposal accepted. 3. Preparing the type tests procedures and following up the test result. 4. Work with the supplier to prepare the 2D manufacturing drawings for the steel battery box. 5. Perform FAI for the battery box and battery system 6. Following up the technic issues in series production, update working instruction (or drawings, or process documents etc.) timely. 7. Support the technical discussion with the customer in bidding project. 8. Following up after-sales problems and provide support when needed.
Responsibilities: 1. Battery system concept design in bidding project. - Review the requirements & specification from the customer and deliver the customized technic solutions. - Work closely with the application enginner to finish the technic offer. - Design to cost. 2. Detailed design of battery system - Perfroming the 3D design of the battery system (mechanical structure of the battery box, cabling, and battery kits layout). - Deliver 2D drawings for production (most of the time, 2D manufacture drawings will be developed by box supplier). - Preparing the type test procedures. - Performing the validation procedure (mechanical strength FEA calculation, FAIs, and on-site audit). - Develop project documents, such as income inspection directions, working instructions, Maintenance manual, etc. - Other tasks assigned by the project manager. 3. Attending the FAIs and validate the design. - Attending FAIs related to the battery system. - Work closely with the box supplier to smooth the production. - Optimize the design continuously. - Following up the open items. 4. Technical support to the whole project team - Review the welding and manufacturing drawings from the box supplier. - Support and monitor the box manufacture process (related to surface treatment, painting, passivation, etc.). - Support the quality and the after-sales team to find the root cause of defects. - Managing the return of experiences. - Identify the risks in bidding projects.
Requirements: Fluent in both writing and speaking English. Good skills at Creo/ProE (or similar software) for 3D & 2D design (for products such as sheet metal structure, welding structures), and AutoCAD. Good background knowledge about metal processing, mechanical and steel structure design and manufacturing. Interested in technical issues and with a motivation to learn new knowledge. Interest in reading norms and standards. Familiar with FEA calculation (Ansys or similar) is a plus. Working experience in the rolling stock industry is a plus. Working experience in the international company is a plus.
