- Purpose of Position:
As part of Sustaining engineering team in Zhuhai China, The primary role of this position is to provide technical, logistical, and test support for engineering activities. The Technician assists the engineering team with short and long-term projects, data collection, system testing, and day-to-day maintenance of the team’s tools and equipment.
- Essential Functions:
61 Assists the engineering team in the accomplishment of both team and individual objectives
61 Tests individual components and systems at various stages in development
61 Creates tests plans as needed, and executes test plans created by others
61 Assists in the identification and resolution of current-product issues and problems
61 Builds and debugs prototype hardware, with assistant from the engineers
61 Locates and recommends suppliers and vendors for various components, test systems, and development tools
61 Travels to customer sites for various stages of system test
- Other Non-Essential Functions:
61 Assists production as needed, occasionally participating in builds, reworks, etc
61 Other duties as assigned
61 Handles most departmental acquisitions of equipment, tools, engineering samples, etc.
- Education, Background and Skill Requirements
61 Bachelor degree in Electronics engineering and technology disciplines
61 0-2 years related experience in packaging or ink jet / Laser or any other kind of product marking industries is the plus
61 Knowledge of a variety of test and measurement equipment such as environmental chambers, DVM's, power supplies, micrometers, signal generators would be preferred
61 The ability to read and comprehend schematics, engineering drawings, theory of operation, specification sheets and other technical information required to perform the assigned task work.
