- Purpose of Position:
The primary role of this position is to lead and manage the Videojet engineering team in Zhuhai China. This position will be responsible for managing a team of engineers to ensure sustainability of products, with a goal of exceeding customer expectations around safety, quality, and delivery, and will require close collaboration with Operations, and other Videojet R&D teams around the world. The position demands both technical expertise and team leadership
- Essential Functions:
61 Manage the engineering resources to develop of new features, maintenance of the line, as well as modifications of the current product offering.
61 Lead and architect design and implementation of product design changes, and make technical decisions
61 Manage and prioritize project pipeline
61 Recruit, select, develop and effectively align engineering talent to optimize skills against development needs.
61 Creates annual performance objectives and development plans for staff members to help them achieve their career goals. Inspires the team to greatness
61 Work effectively with other Videojet global engineering teams
61 Develop, monitor and manage multiple projects throughout the product life cycle and across countries and time zones
61 Hands-on project management and actively manages project plan, scope, deliverables, dependencies
61 Set and maintain a detailed timeline and milestones for every project
61 Ensure on-time execution with high quality
61 Identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies
61 Utilize Veralto Enterprise Systems tools for Project management, such as Visual Project Management, Daily Management, and Speed Design Review
- Education, Background and Skill Requirements:
61 CET-6 or above, excellent oral and written English is the essential requirement
61 Bachelor’s degree (Master is a plus) in engineering related discipline, preferable electrical or Mechanical.
61 5+ years in a product development or sustaining engineering
61 3+ years of experience as a managing a technical team with direct and indirect reports; demonstrated leadership skills
61 Experience working in a large multi-national company is preferred.
61 Broad understanding of products and processes, including design, manufacturing, and market use of products.
61 Experience in international project management
61 Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills needed to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work across cross-functional groups
61 Must be Hands-on/Detail orientated, and technical savvy
61 Demonstrate the ability to think critically and collaboratively to solve project roadblocks
61 Demonstrate the skills of strong leadership in very lean but demanding and sometimes frustrating environment
61 Experience with manufacturing and suppliers
