Overall purpose 61 Manage the development of a forward-looking project roadmap focused on BOM cost, quality, lead time reduction, and delivery improvements. 61 Coordinating with various stakeholders, conducting supplier evaluations, and optimizing the sourcing processes in line with sourcing strategy. 61 Adhere to commodity sourcing strategy to meet new project lunching objectives 61 Lead cost reduction projects from concept to production as identified using tollgate review sourcing process. 61 Identify the potential risks and take the necessary actions to reach the project KPIs (savings, project launching on time…etc.). 61 Plan all procurement activities and coordination with stake holders in relation to new project launching
Main Responsibilities 61 Activities includes but not limited to RFQ, cost analysis & negotiation, cost down solution identify, critical risk part assessment, DFM coordination, sample build and follow up, new tooling & payment management. 61 Collaborate with the Product Management and Engineering to achieve desired cost targets, CBD analysis, cost benchmark and cost comparison analysis 61 New part supplier and cost selection aligned with CM’s sourcing strategy. 61 Monitor supply chain delivery and capacity risks, implementing mitigation plans to ensure uninterrupted material supply for new projects. Finish the critical part risk assessment, via work with PD, SQE, and suppliers. 61 ECR/ECN process follow up. 61 Close communication with Suppliers and Project team to create transparency within the projects. 61 Monitor sourcing activities, track project timelines, and proactively address any issues that may arise during the sourcing process. 61 Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities.
Profile and Capabilities 61 Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/mechanical engineering / commercial / Supply Chain Management/Business Administration, or other related fields 61 Project management experience is preferred. 61 CIPS, CPIM, PMI, or APICS certification preferred. 61 Strong knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier management, and negotiation skills. 61 Good understanding of TCO and Cost Breakdown Concept, able to do overall cost comparison analysis and correlate with suppliers for the gap between quotes and should cost, provide out reasonable price based on analysis. 61 Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 61 Able to think strategically and work independently, problem solving skill. 61 Good written and verbal communication skill both in English and Chinese. Be able to communicate fluently to key stakeholders and suppliers globally. 61 Good communication skill & teamwork spirit is a must.
