Due to expansion, we are looking for a Quality Engineer whose responsibility it will be to ensure the quality of our electronic products and processes. Together with the Quality team (Quality Manager and QA Assistants) you will work closely with the colleagues from Product Management and our team in Netherlands. You ensure that all our products comply with the legal requirements and follow the development of laws and regulations within the product groups in which Karsten International is active. In addition, you optimize quality processes, perform risk analyses and give advice to your colleagues.
Your activities: 61 Being able to assess an item on safety and legislation. 61 Being in contact with suppliers, evaluate social compliance and environmental requirements for factories. 61 You will be responsible for ensuring product safety for electronic items. 61 Handling customer complaints, authority requests and recalls. 61 Keep your knowledge about legislation up-to-date while sharing your knowledge with your coworkers. 61 Analyze and improve internal processes. 61 Responsible for the technical files. 61 Training and supporting the junior members of the team.
Who we are looking for 61 10+ years experience in quality assurance or in a similar environment or a lab. 61 A Bachelors degree in a related subject 61 Excellent knowledge of EU legislation for nonfood items. 61 You have preferably experience with customers portals such as impact buying (i.e. SIM, T05V, Amfori etc.) 61 Experience BRC or management systems is a pre. 61 Setting up and implementing quality processes. 61 Previous experience in product-safety legislation. 61 Good language skills in English.
Working hours: Normal working hours are 5 days and 8 hours per week; Flexible working hours options: 8:30-12:00, afternoon 13:00-17:50 9:00-12:00, afternoon 13:00-18:00
