Company Introduction: SciAps is a Boston-based instrumentation company specializing in portable analytical instruments to measure any element, any place on the planet. Currently merging with Malvern Panalytical within the Spectris Scientific Division.
SciAps is a fast-growing, specialized provider of handheld instruments that utilize X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) techniques for elemental, molecular and mineral analysis.
Location: Beijing or Guangzhou
Role Purpose: 1. The scrap market in China is huge and this market needs to have the strong local salespeople to guide persistently. Branding is important as well locally. 2. Improve the sales revenue significantly in the region of scrap industry market for all the SciAps products. 3. Approach the scrap industrial dealers and key end customers through various marketing activities. 4. Managing SciAps relationship with Scrap customers through strategic planning and value-based selling. 5. Proactively developing ‘business’ by engaging and collaborating with customers. 6. Provide sales leadership and pre-sales activity to maximise the successful conversion of sales opportunities in the scrap market. Convince the distributors and end customers SciAps products more valuable firmly.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop new distributors which are strong in the scrap market. 2. Contribute to achieving SciAps China plan through sales of the SciAps portfolio relevant for the Scrap industry and metal related market. 3. Achieve pre-established sales quota and profitability targets. 4. Represent SciAps at trade shows, workshops and seminars 5. Contribute to the China team effort to grow the country and territory business especially in Hebei and Guangdong market 6. Travel throughout the assigned territory to call on key and prospective customers 7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with accounts, aiming at developing the SciAps brand, maximizing customer satisfaction, business retention and growth. 8. Demonstrate value-based selling. 9. Analyse and articulate customer and market needs and provide market insight, trends and business messaging to Product Management and Sector Marketing specialists 10. Present a professional manner at all times and adhere to the SciAps / Spectris Code of Business Ethics, Ethical and H&S policies
Qualifications: 1. At least 5 years’ experience selling scientific instruments/equipment/systems (e.g. spectroscopies, x-ray analysis, LIBS, OES) in semi or a closely related segment 2. Proficient to the scrap market distribution and key customers in each region or other related channels 3. Have to know about the scrap or PMI distributors in the alloy market and robust confidence to improve the market share as well 4. Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Physis, etc 5. Strong organizational, planning and time management skills which are excellent in branding in the relevant market events
