Position Overview As a Plant Cost Accounting Accountant in a shared services environment, you will be responsible for accounting aspects of costing and inventory for multiple plant locations. Responsibilities Cost Accounting: 74 Deal with all inventories and cost related manual adjustment 74 Ensures calculation and review of relevant accruals and reserves, such as obsolete and slow-moving inventory, freight, and other related accruals. 74 Perform period end close – absorption accounting, PPV capitalization, variance analysis. 74 Deal with the month-end close process, ensuring all account reconciliations are performed. 74 Collaborate with finance teams at each plant location to ensure consistent costing practices and policies. 74 Support internal and external audits and compliance to accounting standards. 74 Identify areas for process improvement in a shared services environment and develop and implement solutions. 74 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. 74 Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in cost accounting within a shared services model. Qualifications 74 Fully qualified Cost Accountant with 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in accounting for manufacturing locations or have auditing experience in Big Four audit firm. 74 Proven experience as plant accountant, cost accounting and inventory management, preferably within a shared services or multi-plant environment. 74 Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation methods, and financial analysis. 74 Experience working with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. 74 Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. 74 Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex information in a clear and concise manner. 74 Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced shared services environment.
