1.Project management and cross functional coordination 1.1Lead the NPI Execution team to provide functional deliverables supporting achievement of project goals. This includes project planning, schedule updating and proactively identifying risks and managing issues. Manage work commitments, ensuring required deliverables are completed on time. 1.2Provide high quality, concise management reporting of status, risks & issues, ensure completeness and accuracy of information reporting related to the Supply Chain function. Support metrics reporting and complete all deliverables in a timely manner. 1.3Communicate extensively throughout the supply chain to ensure continuous alignment of products and strategies during the NPI development cycle. 1.4Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific strategic reasons, while accounting for risks, changes in schedule or demand.
2.Sourcing strategy and supply chain risk mitigation 2.1Onboard suppliers to support new technologies and New Product Introductions (NPI). 2.2Drive dual sourcing activities to mitigate supply risk. 2.3Architect supply chains that deliver products that meet or exceed expectations (quality, delivery, value) based on inputs from Business Units, Commodity Managers, Quality and Engineering. 2.4NPI sourcing strategy development, management and execution
3.Cost management and DFx / SDR 3.1Product material cost management; Analyze BOM cost to identify cost reduction opportunities through design, content reduction/should cost and commercial means; track and ensure timely implementation of such opportunities. 3.2Facilitate early engagement between supplier and Lumentum design team to drive manufacturability, repeatability cost and lead time improvements.
4.Planning and production transfer 4.1Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (e.g., material availability, cost/assembly/test/BOM/capacity readiness and transition plans). 4.2Ensure successful production transitions meet program goals. 4.3Ensuring all supply chain commitments are met, plans are developed and carried out, and risks are mitigated for assigned products/suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ SKILLS: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering or other relevant field or equivalent practical experience 2. Up to 8 years of prior experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Project Management, or equivalent experience. 3. Understanding of program milestones and design/development phase gating processes. 4. Skilled user of Microsoft Office suite of business software 5. Requires exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, analytical ability, decision making, and organizational skills 6. Strong process analysis and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, goal oriented, task driven team player. 7. Working knowledge of SDR/PFEP/3P Kaizen Methodologies preferred. 8. Experience with ERP system, Oracle or similar. 9. Experience with PLM, Agile or similar. 10. Ability to create a team environment and provide leadership. Demonstrated experience in people management.
