Position Summary Responsible for implementation of the company’s RSL policy and ensuring that all vendors are compliant, and all materials being used in production are tested and released in accordance with established RSL standards.
Responsibilities: 61 Helps oversee implementation of Restricted Substances Policy 61 Ensures each vendor has a copy of RS policy and signs/submits Certificate of Compliance 61 Tracks and ensures all materials in production have valid RSL test results 61 Assists in leading and managing the implementation of products’ random testing in coordination with development and production or QA teams 61 Facilitates managing and maintaining shared files for all materials’ RSL results, products’ random test results, and Children Product Certificates (CPC) 61 Closely collaborates with 3rd party lab on materials and product tests and in staying up to date on industry trends and regulations related to restricted substances 61 Performs other tasks related to RSL policy management
Education / Credentials 61 College graduate. A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or environmental science preferred 61 Preferably with experience working in a similar role within the footwear or apparel industry
Minimum Years Experience: Preferably one (1) year
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 1. Preferably with knowledge in regulations and standards related to RSL 2. Preferably with strong analytical and problem solving skills necessary in assessing risks and developing strategies for compliance 3. Good oral and written English communication skills to interact with internal teams, vendors and other stakeholders 4. Organized and has attention-to-detail 5. Proficiency in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and database management
