BEA Global Services Centre (Guangdong) Co., Limited, formerly known as East Asia Digital Information Services (Guangdong) Limited, was established in 2002 providing back-office support on Technology and Operations services to cater for the growth needs of the Bank of East Asia’s Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and overseas operations. Job overview: As an API or integration engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintain robust integration solution that enable seamless data exchange and interoperability between different systems, applications or platforms. Your role is to design and implement scalable, efficient and secure integration solutions that meet business requirement and technical specification. Your key responsibilities is to design, develop and maintain APIs to enable communication and data exchange between diverse systems and applications. Implement integration solution using middleware, and identify troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integration processes, API connectivity problems and performance bottleneck. Job Responsibilities: 61 Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data transmitted through APIs and integration channels, enabling reliable financial reporting and analysis. 61 Integrate financial systems, such as accounting software, ERP (Enterprise resource planning) systems, and payment gateways, to streamline financial processes, reduce manual errors, and improve operational efficiency. 61 Implement security controls, encryption mechanisms, and audit trails to protect sensitive financial data transmitted through APIs and integration channels, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirement and industry standards. 61 Develop and implement integration solutions to streamline and automate business processes, reducing manual effort and improving operational efficiency 61 Design API and integration architecture to ensure smooth data flow between disparate systems and applications, facilitating seamless information exchange and collaboration. 61 Implementing standardized integration pattern, protocols and interfaces to promote consistency and interoperability across various process and systems. Qualifications: University graduate in Computer Science or equivalent; OR preferable over 3 years’ experience in system development covering the following: 61 Experience in administering enterprise level system, especially in API management tools / gateway such as Nginx, IBM API Connect, Kong Gateway, AWS API Gateway, Apigee, MuleSoft 61 Experience or knowledge how administering integration bus such as IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Websphere MQ 61 Working experience of developing API Development and using Open API specification (2.0, 3.0) 61 Understand integration solutions using technologies such as RESTful APIs, SOAP, ETL, message brokers (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ) and enterprise integration patterns 61 Can use programming language (Java Spring Boot, Python) to implement API implementation 61 Understand security principles, encryption algorithms, and authentication mechanism relevant to API and integration architectures 61 Good troubleshooting skills 61 Good learner for new technology 61 Good communication and interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
