They operate in 30+ countries and work with some of the world’s largest marketplaces, leveraging innovative technology to provide seamless logistics experiences. Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Asian Marketplace Business Development Manager to build and enhance our partnerships within the Asian logistics ecosystem. In this role, you’ll be responsible for cultivating relationships with brokers and partners in China who facilitate international shipping for major marketplaces and retailers, such as Temu, Shein, Aliexpress, and TikTok shops. Working directly with our COO and other senior leaders, you’ll play an integral role in positioning as the preferred logistics partner for brokers and marketplaces targeting the Americas. Key Responsibilities: Strengthening and Managing Broker Relationships ●Initial focus with current brokers: Lead the effort to rebuild and strengthen our relationship with current brokers, addressing any past cultural or operational challenges to establish a reliable, collaborative partnership. ●Establish communication channels: Set up structured communication ■pathways, establish escalation protocols, and negotiate Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to foster alignment and mutual success. ●Collaborative leadership with the team: Work closely with our COO and ■progressively take on a role in managing these broker relationships, ■aiming for full autonomy within a few months. Mapping and Expanding Broker Partnerships ●Broker ecosystem mapping: Research and map the landscape of logistics brokers supporting major Asian marketplaces, including Temu, Shein, Aliexpress, and TikTok shops. Identify brokers who are interested in expanding into our target regions. ●Strategic engagement: Engage brokers who are considering entry into the Latin American and Caribbean markets, positioning us as a critical logistics partner. ●Timeline and strategic resource alignment: Gain insights into market entry ■timelines from these brokers, enabling us to plan and align resources effectively. ●Company representation: Ensure we has a voice in key discussions, advocating for our unique value proposition as the ideal logistics partner in the Caribbean and Central American regions. Qualifications: ●Location: Based in China with extensive knowledge of the Asian logistics broker landscape, especially brokers supporting international shipments for large e- commerce platforms. ●Languages: Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin), with strong communication skills. to navigate and bridge cultural and operational nuances effectively. ●Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development, partnership management, or broker relationship management in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry, focusing on international shipping for Asian marketplaces. ●Industry knowledge: Deep understanding of the logistics broker ecosystem supporting Asian marketplaces and retailers with a proven ability to quickly establish relationships in this sector ●Cultural adaptability and collaboration: Ability to work across diverse cultures and personalities within the team, effectively collaborating with key leaders including: COO, VP of Finance, and the Collections team. ●Execution-oriented: Self-motivated, organized, and willing to engage directly with partners to achieve objectives. A “doer” with a strong track record of taking initiative and driving projects to completion. Preferred Skills: ●Logistics and Market Expansion: Background in logistics or market expansion projects targeting Latin America and the Caribbean is beneficial, though not mandatory ●Relationship Management: Demonstrated skill in independently managing broker relationships and navigating multicultural settings.
