Impact in this Role As a Technical Sourcing Specialist at Fictiv, you will be responsible for the intelligent sourcing, qualification, and distribution of work within our Manufacturing Partner network. In this position, you will leverage your educational background—preferably a degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering—as well as your experience in supplier sourcing, qualification, onboarding, development, and management to effectively develop and oversee the China operation’s distributed Manufacturing Partner network. What You’ll Be Doing Develop, manage, audit, improve, and correct Manufacturing Partner planning and execution for parts manufacturing, assembly, and quality control processes. Provide technical leadership for onboarding Manufacturing Partners and spearhead improvements in scalability, cost, and quality. Facilitate communication of technical requirements between suppliers and Fictiv's internal departments. Conduct supplier audits to ensure their compliance with performance, delivery, and reliability standards. Collaborate with Fictiv's costing, Quality, and PM teams to define ideal performance specifications and metrics for Manufacturing Partners. Develop onboarding targets based on sales forecasts and pipeline. Negotiate terms of relationships, including Manufacturing Service Agreements, with strategic Production Manufacturing Partners. Manage the China supply network to ensure transparency and optimize spending. Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies. Develop and execute strategies to reduce COGS and lead time in sourcing custom mechanical components within Fictiv’s supply chain. Conduct cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking. Desired Experience 5-8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, global supply, or quality management. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain management. Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, die casting, and sheet metal fabrication. Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, etc.) and supplier audit processes. Proficient in cost analysis for raw materials (metals, plastics, composites, etc.) and production processes. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for factory visits and audits (up to 30% of the time).
