The Electrical Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of electrical components and materials necessary for company operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and costs are minimized. This role requires strategic planning, negotiation skills, and technical knowledge of electrical products to effectively manage supplier relationships and inventory. Key Responsibilities: 1. Procurement Strategy Development: o Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies for electrical components and materials. o Analyze market trends to anticipate shifts in supply and demand. 2. Supplier Management: o Identify, evaluate, and maintain a robust supplier base. o Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers. o Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistency in quality and delivery. 3. Quality Assurance: o Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure purchased materials meet company standards and specifications. o Address and resolve any quality issues with suppliers. 4. Cost Management: o Monitor and control procurement budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. o Develop cost-reduction strategies and reports. 5. Inventory Management: o Oversee inventory levels of electrical components to ensure sufficient stock without over-purchasing. o Implement inventory control systems to manage purchased goods effectively. 6. Cross-functional Collaboration: o Collaborate with engineering, project management, and production teams to understand component needs. o Communicate forecasted demand and align purchasing strategies accordingly. 7. Compliance and Risk Management: o Ensure all purchasing activities comply with industry regulations and company policies. o Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. 8. Data Analysis and Reporting: o Analyze purchasing and inventory data to identify trends and improve procurement processes. o Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, costs, and supplier performance. Qualifications: 61 Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 61 Proven experience in purchasing, preferably within the electrical industry. 61 Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management. 61 In-depth knowledge of electrical products and components. 61 Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 61 Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software. 61 Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: 61 Certification in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPM, CPSM). 61 Experience with ERP systems. 61 Knowledge of global supply chain issues and solutions. 61 Automotive market is prefer.
