Overall Objectives of the Position：
The main responsibility of the solvent Production Supervisor is to participate in the production line construction and production commissioning in the solvent project. Solvent Production Supervisor reports to the solvent production manager for performance evaluation, and for ramp up to deliver the finished goods in right quality, right quantity, and right time. During the phases from commissioning to ramp up, the Solvent Production Supervisor should fulfill all compliance, EHS, quality requirements both from internal and external. After stable production, the Solvent Production Supervisor further ensures that all product related activities meet quality, EHS, and compliance requirements.
Main Tasks：
61 Ensures compliance with all EHS requirements and regulations of company and Chinese authorities. Understand, follow, and promote safety practices. Continuously enhance safety awareness and improve plant effectiveness in EHS with the philosophy that every incident is preventable.
61 Participates in the construction, commissioning, installation, and operation of solvent production lines with the engineering team.
61 Reports to the solvent production manager for the performance qualification execution of solvent production lines with the support from giving site experts, tech transfer team, and supply chain production planning team.
61 Organizes, schedules, and prioritizes production tasks, and leads production staff for execution. Works collaboratively with other solvent production supervisors under the leadership of solvent production manager.
61 Ensures that established production procedures and instructions are followed. Ensures quality and safety standards are met. Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained. Reviews and updates production policies and procedures regularly. Finishes all necessary paperwork and reports guided by the solvent production manager.
61 Receives on-site trainings and prepares SOP in Chinese. Provides training, coaching, performance appraisal, and career development plan to solvent production operators.
61 Executes the ramp up of solvent production according to the supply chain demand plan.
61 Establishes and implements ISO9001 system. Acquires the group ISO9001 certificate within the scope of solvent production.
61 Support the solvent production manager for site emergency case exercise in the scope of solvent production.
61 Continually enhances the skill levels of solvent production operators.
61 Complete other tasks required by the line manager.
Education and Qualification Required：
61 Education: University or college graduate in chemistry or chemical engineering.
61 Working Experience:
85 Extensive professional experience 5+ years in chemical industry and 2+ years supervisor role in chemical plant.
61 Certificates：
Holding a safety production management personnel certificate is a plus.
61 Technical & Professional Knowledge:
85 Good safety knowledge and awareness.
85 Familiar with basic chemical reactions/processes. Familiar with common chemical industrial equipment, eg: reactor, crystallizer, pump, pressurized tank etc.
85 Know basic automatic process control theory. Familiar with PLC and DCS and interlock handling
85 Familiar with basic MS office software.
85 Ability to work effectively under pressure.
85 Good command in English and Chinese in writing and speaking for oversea training.
85 Clear and effective oral communication skill.
85 Required competencies: Purposeful, Result-driven, Collaborative.
