This position is responsible for executing sourcing plans, proactively search for qualified suppliers to meet business plan of Scania purchasing and to make & execute purchasing strategies and targets for the segment supplier developed Software components.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily but not limited to: For the Asia market, proactively search for suppliers to meet the business plan outlined from Scania Purchasing; Make & execute purchasing strategies and targets for global sourcing and localization project ; Regular communication & alignment with the global organization for strategy and plan; Supplier capacity management & component shortage handling; New technology & start-up scouting, cooperate with the global organization for new projects; Evaluate material and parts suppliers for quality, process control and capacity; Make RFQ, evaluate quotation, propose & nominate supplier; Work closely with the suppliers to develop new parts and improve production quality ; Cross function cooperation globally to ensure the technical specifications is followed and project schedules are kept; Conduct business negotiations with suppliers in the region following agreed targets; Locally support all orders placed at the suppliers in the region including following ongoing activities regarding tools, production, quality, delivery schedules and logistics; Cooperate with logistic, R&D, engineering and production departments to fulfill the lead time targets; Build a supplier base in Asia; Follow VW group work journey.
Education and/or Experience University degree in Mechanical Engineering or other applicable fields; Experience of sourcing and purchasing or other applicable fields preferably from Automotive/ Mechanical Industry ; Experience with supplier developed Software components Experience in working in a manufacturing/quality environment; Experience in supplier evaluation.
