We are looking for an experienced Assistant HR Manager who is an outstanding practitioner, has a creative approach and forensic attention to details. This post holder will be mainly leading the functions of recruitment, onboarding, learning and training in HR department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a ‘can-do’ approach and lead by example.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION * Managing the full cycle of recruitment including but not limited to preparing job descriptions, posting job advertisements, selecting candidates, arranging interviews, preparing interview materials, interviewing candidates, preparing salary benchmark, preparing employment offers and conducting necessary pre-employment checks * Assisting the HR Manager with recruitment branding and marketing in order to enhance talent engagement and retention * Collaborating closely with SLT and other hiring managers throughout the recruitment process to ensure hiring needs and goals are met * Preparing recruitment statistics on regular basis as required by the leadership team * Working with the HR Manager, reviewing the recruitment policy and procedures to ensure it compliance with up-to-date safeguarding and best practice and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of hiring workflow
ONBOARDING * Collaborating and communicating with appropriate staff throughout the onboarding process to ensure new staff have a positive onboarding experience and supporting induction where required * Leading the on-boarding process including but not limited to materials, logistics and inductions for new staff * Supporting all expat staff with their work and residence permit applications to ensure the school practices are in line with the legal regulations and local compliances * Overseeing all safeguarding compliance for staff and their dependants who live onsite and responsibility for ensuring the Single Central Record is up-to-date * Acting as the primary contact for new staff and providing *** line and professional HR advice * Leading on the probation review process of staff, referring any concerns to the HR Manager * Conducting interviews with newly joined staff and reviewing results of the Onboarding and Induction Survey to ensure they are satisfied with their job and to identify if there is anything that the school can support
LEARNING, DEVELOPMENT and PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Assisting the HR Manager with the following: * Ensure learning needs are collected through the annual appraisal process as well as the training needs survey * Ensure all learning and development activities are in line with the overall staff development strategy * Work closely with the senior leaders to coordinate Induction training for all new staff; ensure the Induction process and documentation is completed thoroughly and in a timely fashion * Liaise with new hires to ensure their attendance at necessary induction meetings; issue and ensure the return of completed induction documentation; identify any areas of concern and raise this with the appropriate Department Head * Maintain all the eLearning platform adding new starters, removing leavers ensuring that all relevant training is completed within the necessary timescales * Arrange safeguarding training for new starters and ensure their attendance; ensure the completion and recording of health and safety, safeguarding and other compliance * Assist with managing of a positive and value aligned employee culture * Make sure the timeline is followed for each stage in the annual appraisal plan and provide clarity and support for team leaders during the annual appraisal process

GENERAL DUTIES * Assisting the HR Manager with the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties of each team member * Establishing positive relationships and liaising with all departments to provide feedback and analysis of department requirements in terms of staffing, structure, and employee needs together with the HR Manager * Assisting with employee disputes and performance reviews as and when required
