DESCRIPTION:
The Planner will be responsible for the end to end management of the merchandise plans for a specific book of business for the Victoria’s Secret brand in Greater China. This includes creating the category/sub-category level plans for the business and the individual product buys needed to support those plans, while identifying opportunities in-season to drive the business and maximize sales and profitability through weekly cross-functional business reviews and monthly OTB. This position covers the entire product lifecycle: pre-season, in season & post season. This position will also work very closely with planning teams located in the US.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Act as the business owner. Drive strategy and decision making to maximize sales and product margin.
· End to end management of the product lifecycle. Floor set and strategy planning, inventory projections, management of product end of life clearance plans.
· Create merchandise plans to meet and exceed financial budget.
· Create product buys to support merchandise plans and share with cross functional partners for global buy review.
· Support Monthly LF (last Forecast) process to provide visibility to product strategy, inventory flow and manage OTB.
· Identify areas of opportunities in the assortment with the Merchandising team and adapt future buys to reflect new learnings to improve product performance and maximize sales and margin.
· Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations, and Sourcing to ensure inventory planning goals/objectives are achieved.
· Support weekly operational meeting with Store Operations, Marketing, and Visual teams to share current inventory position/challenges and the actions being taken.’
· Collaborate with internal technology management team to support continuous process improvement. · Ensure supply and demand are aligned.
EXPERIENCE:
· 3-5 years of experience in Merchandise Planning or Buying is preferred.
· High level of flexibility, curiosity and willingness to learn is required.
· Excellent communication, prioritizing and problem-solving skills are a must.
· Ability to work in an environment with high level of change as the business grows.
· Ability to be a team player and to foster a commitment to teamwork among associate.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and customer types/levels.
· Excellent statistical/quantitative analysis skills.
· High level of technical proficiency using Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Willingness to learn new applications and software. Proficiency in Microsoft Access is a plus.
· International experience a plus. Communication in English is required.
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
