Principal tasks - To carry out Class and Statutory surveys on ships-in-service of different ship types. - To carry out ISM, ISPS and MLC audits on ships of different ship types. - To carry out inspections for certification of materials, components, marine products and service suppliers in accordance with the applicable rules and requirements. - To prepare technically accurate and timely reports as required. - Carrying out other technical jobs as assigned by the Office Manager. - Inspection and testing of materials and components for certification, according to Class requirements, International conventions and contractual requirements as well as statutory and special service requirements;
Education and Professional Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering. - Previous experience in an IACS Classification Society of minimum 5 years is preferred with Renewal Survey qualification and lead auditor qualification for ISM, ISPS & MLC.
Personal skills and abilities - Must have a good practical and theoretical knowledge of ship’s systems / equipment. - Must possess a high level of commitment and must be able to work in a team and on demanding schedules. - Must be proficient in English language, both written and spoken. - Must be proficient in the use of computers - for Windows OS and MS Office. - Must be able to manage conflicts and to negotiate difficult situations.
