1. Purpose of position
-The role of a Senior System Application Engineer is to lead execution of projects. Depending on the specific circumstance, this support could entail procurement of goods, engineering of solutions, and commissioning of systems.

-A Senior System Application Engineer is a key participant in delivery teams on large projects, and typically takes responsibility for the delivery of all the components of projects. From time to time a Senior System Application Engineer has to work autonomously to deliver smaller projects.

-The role requires a high degree of professionalism at all times, and adherence with company policies and procedures, specifically relating to management of quality, and safe working practices.

-All engineers are expected to assist with developing further business for the company. As an Application Engineer your role is to support marketing campaigns and to provide assistance from time to time on sales pursuits as required.

2. Basic job functions
-Understand the marketing and sales processes, and assist, support and participate as required from time to time.

-Interpret customer needs, and offer engineering solutions through the use of the company’s product suite and complementary equipment to make up end-to-end automated solutions. See

-Assist with the design of small, medium and large integrated process-control systems, by doing conceptual and detailed engineering design in support of solutions being supplied to our customers.

-Use best practices for automating industrial processes, from basic process measurement, through to control-room design, and ultimately integration with plant management information systems.
