Job Purpose: To strategically plan, coordinate, and manage the procurement activities of an organization, with the aim of acquiring goods and services at the best possible value, while ensuring quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
Key Accountabilities:
Product and Project Management Work closely with Senior Purchasing Manager/Office Manager/Product Manager to understand the requirements of different products/projects. Responsible for the main objectives in procurement field and follow projects from A to Z. Participate and contribute to our Global Sourcing projects. Fully inform the Office Manager and Product Manager of all vital aspects of projects (price, quality, delivery etc.) and devise plan for successful launch and delivery.
Supplier Management Maintain comprehensive understanding of what kind of sources exist in the region, shortlist, and select those that offer competitiveness that fits our needs. Visit and conduct on site audit to evaluate supplier’s proficiency on material, production, quality management. Introduce top suppliers to the company and maintain a professional and mature preferred supplier list. Identify, qualify, onboard, manage and collaborate with the right suppliers for company needs. Collaborate with Quality Department and CSR department to ensure suppliers are compliant with Quality and CSR requirements. Monitor/Maintain and develop business with existing suppliers for both current existing and new product range.
Order Management Ensure on time delivery. Work closely with Quality Department to ensure compliance of products accepted for delivery.
Price Management Understand and stay updated with cost drivers and maintain competitiveness in purchase price/spending. Conduct Negotiation for competitive price offering. Self-initiated price review and benchmark.
General and others Have full ownership over assigned product range/category. Proactively work on protecting company rights and benefits. Assist Office Manager/Senior Purchasing Manager/supervisor on any assigned tasks. Coach and guide Purchasing Assistant’s work.
Requirements:
Academic/Professional Qualifications College and/or University degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Supply Chain or related with technical background. Basic knowledge of European safety standards, norms as well as legal safety norms required in Scandinavian markets.
Desired Skills and Experience 5 years working experience as Sourcing /Purchasing or Supplier Development Manager with European/International buying team on retail direct product procurement. Understanding of production flow and quality management in a manufacturing environment. Experience in working in direct sourcing for a retailer would be preferable. Good and fluent in writing and speaking English. Strong communication skills, strategic sourcing capability and commercial acumen. Able to work proactively and both independently and as a part of a team. Influential negotiation skills and strategies. Analytical and conceptual thinking. Frequent Traveling is expected. Prefer product knowledge in car tools or construction product.
