Responsibilities: Conduct cost analyses (target costing) for projects, primarily focusing on sheet metal parts and assembly work, as well as standard parts. ?Ability to perform cost analyses for projects, sheet metal assemblies, and sheet metal parts. ?Regularly visit suppliers to evaluate on-site manufacturing processes for sheet metal parts (machine hours, hourly production rates, scrap rate) to identify waste and cost reduction opportunities. ?Identify cost differences and process waste in the production process. ?Identify hidden costs in key articles based on lean and process knowledge. ?Explore opportunities related to alternative materials and new technologies. ?Coordinate cost calculation templates with major suppliers and agree on individual cost rates. ?Create "Should-Costs" for customer projects and cost optimization projects. ?Achieve project cost savings and commodity saving targets. Requirements ?Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. ?Experience in project management involving sheet metal-related work. ?Understanding of engineering bill of materials (BOM) and production steps. ?3-5 years of experience in a similar position within sheet metal-related industries. ?Strong understanding and proven ability to execute continuous improvement processes. ?Proficiency in CAD and 3D software, as well as the ability to read CAD and PDF 3D drawings. ?Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SAP is a plus. ?Proficient in both written and spoken English.
