Main tasks and responsibility include: · Sourcing new product and develop opportunities. Continuously monitor product development; · Maintaining a high level of product development; Ensure continuously product development involving the supplier and the client requirements; · Follow-up trend development in related area in order to improve current products. Introduce new articles to sales department. · Set up basic product data and gather product details from supplier, such as price/material/measurement/ load ability, etc. to be able to quote for the clients. · Handling article documentation and specification; Ensure that suppliers are following client’s requirements and operating according to TradePoint’s standard; · Continuously search for relevant & potential suppliers. Find out alternative supplier for back up; · Establish and continuously develop supplier relations, mainly including supplier evaluations and confirmation that selected suppliers are suitable for selected product range, in collaboration with purchasing technician. · Price negotiation and efficiency planning with supplier to reduce cost and increase production capacity; · Test product based on both TradePoint and client's standard. Cooperate closely with QA to investigate and evaluate production, testing, to ensure product to meet clients and end users expectation; · Assisting the sales department by introducing the client to the supplier's production facilities; · Ensuring a high level of client satisfaction. Continuing improvement of production and supply plans for suppliers to meet clients' code of conduction; · Negotiation with supplier and support sales to settle the claims and complains from clients; · Manage team, delegating tasks and set up team meetings in order to have an efficient and effective cooperation.
Main working place will be in Shanghai, traveling must be expected.
Professional and personal competences: · Technical understanding and strong knowledge of outdoor furniture production, construction and material · Attention to details · Good communication & negotiation skills and able to turn complexity into simplicity. · Average level in verbal and written English; · Skilled data handling (collect, manage and analyse); · Analytical and capable of problem solving with suppliers and colleagues in TPSH and TPDK · Capable of planning and organizing · Sound judgement and a proactive approach · Decision-making skills · Customer service oriented · Effective interaction with stakeholders (e.g. suppliers; TPSH and TPDK; customers if approached directly during visits) · Great contribution to the team spirit · Skilled user of MS Office package and MS Dynamic 365
Experience: · working experience in sourcing · have a solid technical experience on furniture
