Aims The Future Educator Programme (FEP) aims to recruit high-quality graduates from the world’s leading universities and provide them with a generous teacher training programme. The programme is set out over two years and gives recruits the opportunity to receive both the Chinese Teaching Qualification and the Cambridge Teaching Qualification at Certificate and Diploma level. During this time trainees will make an academic contribution in the classroom and in the work of the department. They will also provide additional academic support and extension to students as well as contributing to the school’s extra-curricular provision. They will contribute to the pastoral system, both during school hours and in the boarding houses. Gaining this experience, with high-quality training and mentoring along the way, will give trainees the experience they need to become outstanding educators in the future.

Trainee Responsibilities The school will have high expectations of trainees. Their responsibilities include: - To engage with all aspects of the programme in a professional manner - To be reflective at all times and respond positively to feedback - To uphold the highest standards of the school - To meet deadlines and other professional obligations - To contribute to the overall work of their department - To develop and maintain a good relationship with their mentors and other colleagues - To develop and maintain good relationships with students and parents - To demonstrate independence and initiative by seeking out appropriate CPD opportunities - To make the required progress through the training modules.
