Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced, inner-driven and customer-centric Direct to Information Technology Lead to oversee trading, commercial, retail & digital technology strategy and roadmap for our greater China market. This role will be acting as an IT leader in greater China market. He / She will be responsible for driving growth and innovation via initiating, defining, and overseeing technical delivery and operations within greater China market. He / She will closely align with the global IT strategy, while also identifying technology solutions unique to the market. This position requires great vision, technical depth, and communication skills. A high degree of comfort in leveraging data to influence decisions is critical. The optimal candidate will be passionate about driving our next generation of customer experiences, and focused on delivering significant, measurable business and customer impacts.
Responsibilities - Provide leadership and technical guidance and support in Information Technology. - Be the catalyst to drive the IT strategy and direction whilst working closely with various business leaders to understand the organizational needs and long-term vision. - Combine a strong understanding of user needs with a deep understanding of business goals as well as technical dependencies to ideate and champion solutions that deliver value. - Identify focus areas, provide escalation management, negotiation skills, and balance the business needs and the technical constraints. - Serve as a subject matter expert for technology decisions and prioritization in market. - Manage risks and communication across multiple projects to executive leadership. You will partner with team members to build mitigation strategy and resolution. - Drive business requirements and the product definition of both core and innovative feature sets that will ensure a seamless end-to-end experience for customers, trade professionals and store associates. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate new ideas, leading the discovery to research and analyze for feasibility as well as customer and business impact. - Translate roadmap into detailed requirements that provide clarity to complex problems and work with user experience/design to execute and deliver high-quality products. - Ensure priorities and time commitments are understood for all projects. - Monitor the retail industry (digital and omnichannel) for best practices to understand the trends and conceptualize new methods or processes whenever required. - Feed insights gained from the market back to global team. Focus on local trends which could be relevant globally. - Responsible for requirement collection and specifications with business users, and prepare technical specification according to the requirements. - Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members and organizations to their optimum performance. - Build and manage healthy relationships and expectations with Global IT, business, and 3rd party stakeholders. - Formulate and organize the implementation of the research, project establishment, selection, design, development, integration, upgrade, operation and maintenance plan of the company's information system. - Informatization management of the companies in APAC (offices in China, Hong Kong, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Japan, Korea, Singapore, etc counties), promoting IT projects, implementing OA, ERP, and docking with external systems, etc., to improve the overall informatization level of the company. - The company's overall information security, prevention and management, preparation and improvement of the company's network code of conduct and information confidentiality system.
Requirements - Minimum 10 years total experience, with 5 in Digital at a managerial level (Asia eCommerce background a plus). - 5-7 years Project Management/Management experience in commercial or consumer goods. - Solid experience in digital platform developments. - Able to keep abreast of digital development in the market & possesses foresight in technology application. - Business minded and strong communication to executives, business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike. - Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs. - Experience launching products or platforms on a large scale. - Experience in Agile project management methodology for project delivery on platforms and platform functions would be an added advantage. - Understanding of key eCommerce technical components (web platforms, fulfilment systems, analytics). - High aptitude for project planning tools, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel . - High level of intellectual curiosity and comfort with bringing definition and structure to ambiguity. - Strong communication and planning skills. - Strong analytical sense. - Flexible, adaptive, creative, and able to deliver under pressure.
