As one of our compliance specialists for furniture your focus will be to ensure products meet quality and safety requirements for the testing. Your knowledge of material science, quality, chemical, laboratory will enable you to make the correct decision according to our compliance testing standards.
You will be a part of our China team (Shanghai office) and an important part of our China Team. You will daily be in contact with colleagues in our Shanghai office. Main tasks and role, · Maintains testing standards and requirements to ensure intime update, communication, and implementation. · Conducts product safety risk assessments and creates test plans accordingly. · Reviews testing quotations based on approved rates, maintains, analyzes, and reports cost data. · Monitors testing samples. · Communicates testing results. · Coordinates with supplier, internal departments, and 3rd party labs to carry out testing for both new and existing products. · Works to identify root causes, proper corrective actions and preventative actions (CAPA), resolves problems with failed testing and work out improvement plans. · Trains internal teams and suppliers on testing standards, requirements, and procedures. · Works with 3rd party labs to stay updated on latest industrial standards, and applicable laws and regulations related to testing. · Evaluates 3rd party testing labs and identifies best solutions in regard of capacity, cost and efficiency for TP’s testing programs. Knowledge and personal competences, · Educational background: bachelor’s degree in engineering, material science, quality, chemical, laboratory or equivalent work experience. · Knowledge with production methods, production procedure, and materials used in the furniture industry is a plus. · Knowledge of testing procedure, standards, and regulations, both mechanical and chemical, such as EN standards, REACH, POPs, RoHS, etc. · Proven skills in product analysis and failures, technical problem solving, and multi-tasking. · Ability to procure, read, understand, and interpret technical reports, specifications, and test data. · Detail oriented, organized, and proactive, with a keen urgency to complete tasks in time. · Good communication skills and data analysis skills. · Master English and Chinese in writing and speech. · Skilled user of MS Office package and MS Dynamics 365.
