As a pricing specialist, you play a critical role in ensuring smart and satisfactory pricing strategies in the region you are serving. The latter is achieved through high level coordination on profit margin evaluation, market rate fluctuations, and carrier quoting trends. You will handle pricing for import & export across all freight verticals.
Scope 1: Pricing Support
Receive complex quoting requests from regional sales and business units and keep track for accurate reporting Compile and distribute pricing matrixes under several carriers/airlines, with supporting terms and conditions Analyse shipping requests to identify and recommend the most efficient route to follow Follow up and negotiate with carriers/airlines to obtain ultimate rates and increase traffic Ensure timely response to regional sales and business units by providing updated quotations Leverage your PR and solid relationships with shipping lines and agents to secure bookings and top rates
Scope 2: Pricing Analysis & Reporting
Provide business unit managers with pricing analysis about won/lost ratio with recommended action plan Support pricing supervisor with the agent performance report for specific trade lanes Maintain pricing history for future or cross functional partner reference Escalate need for decision making or risk taking through global network manager Monitor and update the list of incoming sales Inquiries with their respective status to extract the quotations’ won/lost ratio per line of service, carrier, and client Gather data from competitors and client target rates to harden your comparative report, allowing room for operational improvements
