Job Responsibilities The Technical Manager is responsible for the technical service to the customers of the Business Unit LCC in South China. He has disciplinary and functional responsibility the staff (technical managers, technical engineers and assistant technical engineers). Together with his staff he independently improves and develops adhesive formulations and new applications, consults customers in the best use of Company's products, develops the market together with marketing and sales, cooperates with standard setting institutes, universities or authorities to setup standards and regulations which are in favor of quality adhesive products and cooperates with WSC and Product Development LCC to improve and develop adhesive formulations and VAE dispersion. In cooperation with the marketing and sales managers, the Technical Manager is responsible for the product portfolio within the S-China region, following the guidelines of the Business Unit. Tasks
a) General: - Provide technical service for Company customers - Build up technical leadership of Company Consumer & Industrial Polymers - Share information internally and externally to strengthen technical know-how - Achieve the goals and targets set by the GC Technical Manager
b) Development: - Improve and develop formulations and new applications of adhesive including paper package, woodworking and textile lamination - Conduct comparative studies and find out competitive advantages of Company products versus competitors' - Enlarge VAE dispersion technology usage and VINNAPAS(R)
c) Customers: - Find out the suitable WACKER product for the customer needs - Collect customer needs and transfer to technical needs based on ADTS's point view - Develop customer with technical projects focus on technical driven, loyalty and enlarging VINNAPAS(R) applications - Build up strong link with the technical team of key customers
d) Trainings: - Plan and conduct trainings for Company staff, distributors and customers - Plan and conduct trainings and road shows for applicators and opinion leaders
e) Files/Data: - Keep complete and accurate files of all relevant documentation in accordance with ISO 14001 rules where applicable 任职资格 Qualifications Required - More than 5 years experience in adhesive or related industry, Master or Bachelor in Chemistry, Material Science or related studies - Excellent communication skills - above average interpersonal skills - High ability of self organization and staff guidance - Willingness to travel locally and internationally - Fluency in English - Knowledge of MS-office
