· Source and develop new products and vendors as directed by the Product Sourcing Manager (PSM) or Senior merchandiser (SM), ensuring brief requirements are met. · Maintain up-to-date market trend information from main banners’ markets, such as UK, France, Poland etc. · Prepare buying trip & vendor (factory) visit itineraries and arrange visits to vendors and factories properly. · Ensure all quote sheets are accurately completed & correctly. · Ensure group workflow being followed up and execute properly, smoothly and correctly by vendors via group process (via vendor protocol), all the relevant forms have been fully and accurately completed for sending (or uploading) to group workflow platform in a timely manner. · Ensure & conduct Apex vendor and product system set up and maintenance properly and correctly. · Assist Supply Chain team managing order flow plan, production plan and delivery. · Assist PSM, SM in factory audit/technical assessment, product design & samples checking, quotation checking, artwork and packaging developments etc. to ensure that Kingfisher requirements are met. · Negotiate good cost prices for new briefs/products aiming to achieving cost reduction target against existing/alternative sources of supply (e.g. agents & importers) both on annual basis price review or new project, and special deal negotiations. · Negotiate the most favorable buying terms and ensure all commercial agreements are clearly documented in VBAs. · Ensure disciplined and accurate follow up and tracking of all projects to ensure they are delivered with the required quality level, on-time and in the full quantities ordered. · Ensure that project CPAs are updated and communicated to the relevant parties in a timely manner, highlighting major issues to SM / PSM and provide possible solutions. Work closely with QAT from brief to delivery to ensure quality requirements are satisfied for on-time shipment. · Adequate internal communication with relevant teams such as Supply Chain, QA, Packaging & AW, CSR & Chemical, DT & NPD etc. to avoid miscommunication and ensure OTIF targets are met with right quality. · Provide full guidance to vendors and ensure to have regular update if there is any change made. · Report upwards to ensure SM/PSM are fully aware of issues and progress with key projects · Contribute as required to business planning and budgeting process.
Job Requirements: · Good communication skills and negotiation skills. · Good PC skills such as MS words, excel, PowerPoint. · Preferably with sourcing experience, DIY product experience an advantage for PPE/Cleaning tools products. · Diploma holder major in Business (Purchasing or Marketing are advantage)
