PURPOSE STATEMENT:
? To source, develop and deliver products that meet the requirement from all opcos and align with Kingfisher’s strategy.
? Develop and maintain good communication with counterparts in the triangle (Quality Assurance and Supply chain)
? Develop and maintain good communication with suppliers and customers.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Source and develop new products and vendors as directed by the Assistant Product Sourcing Manager, ensuring brief requirements are met
? Maintain up-to-date market trend information from main opcos with these countries – UK, France, Germany.
? Prepare buying trip itineraries for visiting Opco buyers and arranging visits to vendors and factories properly.
? Ensure all quote sheets are accurately completed.
? Ensure SAP forms (B&Q) have been fully and accurately completed prior to sending to Opco in a timely manner.
? Manage all orders placed, checking product samples, quotes, artwork and packaging to ensure that customer requirements are met
? Negotiate excellent cost prices for new briefs/products aiming to achieving at least 25% cost reduction against existing/alternative sources of supply (e.g. agents & importers)
? Negotiate cost price reductions of 5% per annum on existing ranged & repeat items
? Negotiate the most favorable buying terms and ensure all commercial agreements are clearly documented in VBAs.
? Ensure disciplined and accurate follow up and tracking of all projects to ensure they are delivered to the required quality level, on-time and in the full quantities ordered
? Ensure that project CPAs are updated and communicated to the relevant parties in a timely manner, highlighting major issues to Assistant / Product Sourcing Manager and provide possible solutions.
? Work closely with QA Technologies from brief to delivery to ensure quality requirements are satisfied for on-time shipment
?Adequate internal communication with relevant teams such as Supply Chain, QA to avoid miscommunication and ensure all CPSs are managed and OTIFEF targets are met.
? Provide full guidance to the subordinates and ensure to have regular job update.
