Location: Shanghai, China Basic Functions We are looking for Marine Field Service Engineers for commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of marine Generator. Qualified candidates should have hands-on experience with assembly and repair of Marine Generator, and/or familiar with marine electronics and automation systems. Specific Responsibilities 1. Standby support and 24/7 emergency call for customer support. 2. Providing after-sales technical support, site recovery and maintenance responsibilities to distributors/end customers. 3. Provide the installation, commissioning and on-site training to support the customers according to the scope of the project. 4. Generate a service report to customer in a systematic manner. 5. Investigate and handle all customers’ complaints related to product failures. 6. Investigates root causes of failures and recommend solutions. 7. Review and assist in determining the extend of damage and repairs of warranty claims from distributors. 8. Maintain close working relationship with our key customers to ensure the follow through until the issue is resolved. 9. Develop service training material, ensures all technical and training documents are up-to-date and organized. 10. Provides specific training to distributors and dealers for service and troubleshooting skillsets, ensuring optimum service level at all distributors. Qualifications / Requirements 1. Diploma/degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience 2. This position requires fair amount of traveling in the China and Southeast Asia Region 3. A team player with strong problem-solving skills and task oriented 4. Possess strong customer service orientation, enthusiasm for power generation products, electrical and control system 5. Candidates with equivalent professional background will be considered 6. Prior electrical and control experience with various control system (John Deere ECU and KDI ECU) and synchronization system will be advantageous Relationships and Contacts Supervisory Relationships: Reports to Manager-Aftermarket & Service Training Organization Relationships: Frequent contact with all departments including US counterparts, EMEA counterparts, Southeast Asia counterparts and employees in China offices.
