Overview · This position is for sunroof subcomponents BCC sourcing. · The incumbent will have primary interface between the supply base and business management. Responsible for all aspects of tactical purchasing including - request for quotes, engineering changes, quality development, delivery improvement, project management, material cost reductions and capacity adjustments as well as strategic purchasing - new supplier development, global sourcing, supply base reduction, commodity strategy development and execution Principle accountability: · Identify and manage a world-class supply base to support business objectives and company's product roadmaps. · Negotiate best terms and conditions to meet profitability objectives. · Develop and maintain long term supplier relationships that provide competitive advantages such as lowest cost, excellent quality and superior customer service. Participate in supply china strategies and engage with suppliers to support supply chain requirements. · Work closely with the supply chain team to assure supply availability. · Drive total cost ownership and continuous cost reduction with suppliers. · Formulate, maintain and distribute product cost profile at component level for purchased products · Participate as an active member of cross-functional team to support on-time launch of projects. · Conduct product and technology scouting to identify and present new product and technology opportunities to Product Management. · Monitor and evaluate industry supply trends. Stay on top of trend data of raw material supply and pricing. Analyze, predict and prevent adverse capacity constraints or material price increases. · Survey and certify new suppliers in conjunction with Quality, R&D. Audit supplier conformance to quality, capacity and cost commitments. · Represent and maintain Company's brand and values to the supply base with highest level of integrity and ethics. Take initiatives Education/Experience: · Academic background: Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Sciences or other applicable fields; · Working experience: 3-year experience in Automotive Purchasing /Engineering area. · Skills and abilities: o Good English ability; o Strong negotiation and communication skills o Supplier and project management experiences o Solid product and market knowledge of mechanical, plastic, stamping or electrical components
