REPORTS TO: Senior Technical Manager
OBJECTIVE
Manage the chemical R&D projects in supporting company business strategy and market needs. Performing research, method development and method validation of chemical tests including but not limited to drafting operation procedures, building up uncertainty model and providing training to internal parties and subordinates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
61 Support the global team to manage the R&D projects on chemical tests
61 Assist the chemical labs in South East Asia (Vietnam, Bangladesh and India) on chemical test development and implementation
61 Conducting in-depth study and research on new chemical method per market needs/client requirements
61 Conduct research, method development and validation of chemical tests according to suitable test standard methods or literature references
61 Build up uncertainty model of chemical test and providing quality control criteria
61 Assist in preparing the technical documents such as standard operating procedure and worksheets
61 Perform data analysis and assist lab operation team on analytical rectification.
61 Operate and conduct equipment maintenance of the analytical instruments whenever needs (e.g. GC/MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, LC/MS, etc).
61 Provide technical training to operation team or other parties assigned.
61 Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT
EDUCATION
61 BSc or above in Chemistry related subjects, e.g. Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Analytical Science.
QUALIFICATION
61 Any recognized international qualification related to TIC industry or Scientific research is an advantage (e.g. MRSC)
TRAINING
ISO 17025, technical training, 5S, Lab safety, etc…
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
61 Familiar with ISO 17025 quality system and accreditation requirements.
SKILLS
61 Good communication and analytical skills.
61 Advanced knowledge on the analytical instruments, e.g., AAS, GC/MS, LC/MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and UV-VIS.
EXPERIENCE
61 >8 years working experience in a testing laboratory with minimum 3 years on R&D area.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
61 Good command of written and spoken English
OTHERS
61 Strong analytical mind and logical thinking.
61 Initiative, organized and able to work under pressure.
