JOB SUMMARY: Manage supplier quality, social compliance, supply chain security activities involved with Asian vendors supplying components and finished goods to group Sports & Cargo, Packs, Bags & Luggage/ Juvenile & Pet; Conduct / coordinate 1st piece, in-process and finished goods audits of Asian supplied components/product; Release projects thru PPAP; Action to reduce claim PPM and claim cost; Coordinate third party audits, inspection, lab test, etc. activities
INTERACTION WITH: Internal - Outdoor & Bages Global Plants & DCs; Warranty team; Category team, project team like project purchaser, product development, project manager, etc.; External - Asia 1st & 2nd tier suppliers, contract Design center, 3rd Parties/test labs, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensure company quality, social compliance, and supply chain security systems are established and maintained with all primary and secondary sources of supply; 2. Plan, and conduct (or coordinate 3rd party) supplier qualification/surveillance audits; social compliance audits, using company sanctioned systems, follow up to close; 3. Periodic or aperiodic process audits on supplier production line; 4. Conduct product audits of finish goods and report results; 5. Carry out annual VPP acc. to plan and chemical test plan implementation, and improving plan adherence; 6. Initiate, drive and manage continuous improvement in quality systems, processes and programs at suppliers to ensure supplier meets/exceeds company requirements; 7. Owner to dispose field warranty claim related to compliance, and action to improve overall company compliance system; 8. Review supplier documentation, logs and procedures in accordance to ISO or IATF standards; 9. Manage the Hazardous substance follow company RSL list; 10. Review and approve supplier PPAP documents; peer audit for PPAP documentation; 11. Monthly KPI reporting, analysis and KPI improvement; 12. Supplier CDP reporting follow up and initiative for CO2 emission reduction; 13. Other assigment from supervisor as required;
RECOMMENDED POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Technical Degree (Bachelor/Master or equivalent), and a minimum of three years working experience in the quality, engineering, purchasing or process field; 2. Basic understanding of Quality Systems development and implementaion (ISO9001/ IATF16949 standards), quality audit, sampling plan and inspection methods; 3. Familiar with quality knowledge and tools such as Control Plan, APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, MSA; QC 7 tools, 8D, 5 why, etc… 4. Audit experience (VDA/or QPA&QSA/C-TPAT) audits, social compliance audit, etc… 5. Process knowledge with mechanic or textile product quality, or other related field; 6. Computer literate in MS Office (Excel, PPT…); 7. Strong analytic and presentation skill in a structured and concised way; 8. Proven skills of multitasking and high productivity; 9. Good oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
