Description - External The Offer Procurement Leader plays a crucial role in supporting New Product Development projects and End-to-End Product Lifecycle within the Offer Creation Process (OCP), also known as New Product Development. This individual is responsible for coordinating procurement activities between Procurement categories and the Line of Business (LoB). They contribute to the implementation of the global/local procurement strategy that aligns with the LoB's needs in terms of growth, technical challenges, innovation, and sustainability. The Offer Procurement Leader is a valuable team player in the Offer Creation Process, Global Supply Chain, and the Schneider Electric Procurement community, recognized as an expert in the procurement function for the Product Line they will be dedicated to.
Responsibilities: Product Line Lifecycle:
Gain a deep understanding of the projects and evolution roadmap of the product line. Act as the primary point of contact for procurement topics for all stakeholders. Coordinate the procurement strategy across the product line portfolio. Analyze and challenge the roadmap and project needs. Influence strategic supplier choices and ensure alignment with Category Management decisions. Bring supplier market knowledge and innovation into projects. For major suppliers, participate in key supplier negotiation preparation and relevant negotiations.
Projects Execution:
Influence and deploy commodity strategy, preferred suppliers, and methods such as should cost and e-sourcing templates. Lead the supplier mapping and selection process. Lead end-to-end negotiations, from preparation to awarding the business, including e-RFQ (electronic Request for Quotation). Provide inputs for the Component Risk Management & Supplier Risk Management analysis to the project team. Take accountability for procurement activities within new product projects. Develop various procurement deliverables. Guide component and sub-assembly selection with a procurement approach, considering target cost, total cost of ownership, innovation, sustainability, avoiding single sourcing, promoting component standardization, supply chain flexibility, resilience, and quality. Contribute to the achievement of Offer Creation Process project targets, including product cost, project cost, quality, and time-to-market, while adhering to procurement processes and strategy. Contribute to make-or-buy decisions. Challenge specifications, define Procurement Plan & Execution Plan, and lead contract reviews.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is required; a Master's degree or MBA is a plus. Above 5 years of experience in a Procurement/Sourcing team of a multinational corporation. Experience in procurement and supplier management is mandatory. Experience of solid know-how of electronics components is preferred Experience in electronic components supply chain and understanding of industrial product applications is advantageous.
