Assistant Financial Controller (Contract: Oct 2024 to Apr 2025)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Assistant Financial Controller to join our finance team. This role will primarily support daily financial control operations and also involve in finance-related projects based on the organisation’s evolving needs. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in financial operations, and the flexibility to contribute to different finance related projects as required.

Key responsibilities include:

Project Support:
61 Provide financial and analytical support on finance-related projects such as ongoing PACE (SAP implementation project) and others projects as they arise.
61 Assist in the implementation, enhancement or optimization of financial systems, tools, or processes
61 Collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve project goals and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
61 Asist in data migration ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
61 Project after care activities

Finance Control Support:
61 Support in the closing activities, financial reporting and management reporting, in accordance to the relevant accounting standards, policies and internal procedures
61 Perform sanity check of the P&L and co-ordinate variances analysis
61 Perform Balance Sheet monitoring, incl. financial variance analysis and understanding of open items.
61 Review integrity and quality of all sub ledgers (incl. balance reconciliation)
61 Provide all (accruals, provisions, prepayment corrections) content for journal entries (recurring or incidental) to the shared service centre.
61 Responsible for (and analyse on) product costing, variance analyses manufacturing performance, inventories, capex and *** line analysis and insights for actuals, and setting up relevant allocation cycles in SAP
61 Support Finance Master Data workflows and requests
61 Support in the audit and tax activities
61 Any other ad hoc activities


Required Education & skills:

61 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Financial Controlling or equivalent
61 Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting and/or financial analysis
61 Good knowledge and understanding on SAP esp. FI/CO, SAP costing experience is a plus
61 Knowledge and experience in a shared service environment
61 Good understanding of Finance and Accounting processes
61 Analytical skills and ability to translate financial data in to relevant insights
61 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
61 Good command in English
