As the Import Customs Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in managing and streamlining our import customs processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating the efficient movement of goods across borders. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with our brand values and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee import and export operation processes and work instructions (WIs).
- Conduct process training sessions for third-party logistics providers (3PL) and tier 2 brokers.
- Manage declaration dashboards to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs regulations.
- Provide support to customs officers and assist in internal customs audits.
- Review new quotations from 3PLs, verify billing accuracy, and ensure supporting documents are complete
- Continuously review and improve 3PL performance through effective control measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in a relevant function within the fashion industry. Trade compliance related experience is a plus.
- In depth knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
- Good command of English and Mandarin, French is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability in communication, persuasion and motivation.
- Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., customs clearance software, MS Office).
