GENERAL SUMMARY TO ENSURE MATERIALS AVAILABILITY TO SATISFY CUSTOMER DEMAND WHILST MANAGING NVENTORY IN ACCORDANCE WITH STRATEGY PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) 80 To translate agreed forecast & system generated demand into purchase orders. 80 To maintain accurate supplier lead times, (ensuring accurate materials lead time input into lead time offering to customers) 80 To expedite all orders, communicating delays to all relevant parties. To maintain an up-to-date ‘overdues’ list 80 To record all suppliers’ delivery performance and submit report monthly to Sourcing and Quality department 80 To monitor Inventory levels, applying materials ‘strategy’ parameters as possible, save where Master Planner agrees in the knowledge of customer demand, seasonality or market intelligence 80 To maintain accurate pricing information in ERP system 80 Reliable Input into under-performing supplier escalation process to Sourcing and Quality department 80 To gather supplier & market intelligence for consideration in forecast 80 Participate actively in forecasting process. 80 Participate in annual and strategic planning processes. 80 Ensure the use of appropriate reporting systems, manufacturing processes and quality programs and processes. Ensure continuing compliance with ISO requirements. 80 To comply with corporate and legislated Health, Safety & Environmental policies, rules and laws 80 Assist, contribute and participate, as necessary in the preparation of annual budgeting, capital planning and operations reports. SKILLS 80 Knowledge of SAP systems and specifically inventory management systems is required. 80 Understanding of supplier capabilities and the marketplace. 80 Highly developed analytical skills with demonstrable creative problem-solving experience. 80 Good Communication Skills – (in both Chinese & English). 80 Highly proficient in Microsoft applications: PowerPoint, Excel and Word. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree or qualified by experience with a minimum of 2 years in a purchasing role. Experience in the introduction of new systems, concepts or strategies would be advantageous.
