Mission:
Under the responsibility of Purchasing Director:
1. Software Category Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing software category strategies, take lead the purchasing activities and supplier management of engineering required software to support business and ADAS products development in China.
2. Work closely with global and local cross functional teams to ensure quality, PPV KPI metrics.

Position Responsiblity:
1. Understand and analyze the software requirements for ADAS product development in the China market. Develop appropriate software sourcing strategies and plans in collaboration with the R&D team.
2. Participate in developing global software category strategies and be responsible for local implementation, including software sourcing, supplier evaluation and selection, business contract negotiation, and supplier performance management, ensure they meet the quality and timeline requirements for Magna product development.
3. Coordinate effective communication and collaboration with suppliers, and ensure the reliability and stability of software supply.
4. Monitor global supply base market and technology trends, identify and evaluate emerging software suppliers, provide advice on sourcing recommendations for software suppliers in a timely manner based on business needs.
5. Manage the budget and costs of software category activities, ensuring compliance with financial requirements and Magna global purchasing guidelines.
6. Coordinate with other Magna Divisions in China for special category activities.

Position requirements:
Required Qualifications
1. Diploma: Bachelor’s degree and above in Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related fields.
2. Work Experience:
-5 to 10 years’ experience in strategic purchasing; rich experience in supplier management; software purchasing experience in automotive industry is preferred.
-Or High-po candidates with engineering experience in ADAS fields.
3. Language: Excellent written and verbal English.

Skill Requirements
1. Good understanding of automotive software development lifecycle (development and quality control), such as ASPICE, be familiar with FuSa ISO 26262, CyberSecurity ISO 21434 is preferred.
2. Excellent market research and trend analysis skills, have insights on software sourcing environment.
