Sr. Continuous Improvement Specialist Job Summary: - Responsible for monitoring and improving organizational processes with the aim of making them as efficient as possible. Map out all workflows, remove waste and low-value activities, and recommend solutions. - Lead change implementation throughout different areas of the organization. - Supports, develops, implements and sustains process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies. - Deliver long-term, high impact results. Influences a culture of Continuous Improvement within the Quality Division, engaging employees to improve their processes and overall internal and external customer satisfaction. Job Responsibilities: - Establish, implement, and sustain the Process and Continual Improvement (CI) Strategy/Roadmap. Lead and drive CI across multiple business streams by fostering a partnership approach to ensure efficient adoption of new and improved processes and procedures. - Facilitate workshops to understand business processes and requirements. Manage all phases of the process improvement lifecycle. Collaborate with IT leadership for selection of technical tools/solutions/ methods for process optimization and other initiatives. Analyze and interpret historical, current, and projected data to establish baseline measures, identify problems, causes, and gaps/areas for which procedural, compliance, or system changes. - Develop and facilitate training programs with Lean Six Sigma principles. Coach and mentor others in the application of best practice CI methods, tools, and methodologies for improved performance. Provide direction, empower, motivate, and develop others in order to achieve CI and organizational goals. - Develop metrics, return on investment (ROI) prior to recommending projects, and analyze realization upon completion. Communicate results with management. - Support all continuous and process improvement efforts from idea generation, data collection, implementation and benefit realization. - Act as a change agent and ensure continuous improvement activity is being communicated, understood, and supported within the organization. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; - At least 6 years of experience in process improvement/ Lean / Six Sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness and tangible financial benefit. - Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt certification. - Leadership abilities, assertiveness, strong team player and ability to influence and work self‐directed. - Experience with indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team. - Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems. - Knowledge of Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Quality System Regulations (QSR), and International Organization of Standardization (ISO). - Experience with SAP.
