Retail Marketing, Senior Manager (Store Design and Visual Merchandising) will lead the strategy, execution, and management of retail store design, visual merchandising, and in-store marketing activations across the region. The role is pivotal in driving the Timberland brand experience in a diverse and dynamic marketplace, ensuring consistency with global brand standards while adapting to local market needs. This role requires collaboration with senior stakeholders in global and regional marketing, commercial teams, and external partners. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of experience in retail marketing, with a focus on store design, visual merchandising, and marketing activations. Experience on the brand side is essential, and previous experience in a store design agency is a plus. The candidate should have a proven track record in rolling out innovative store concepts across different markets, demonstrating a strong understanding of materials, lighting, space design, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will be able to brief, manage and create locally relevant retail marketing campaigns and be operationally astute. Key Responsibilities: - Retail Store Design and Rollout: - Lead the design and rollout of Timberland’s retail stores across the APAC region, ensuring alignment with global brand standards and adaptation for local markets. - Oversee all aspects of store design, including space planning, materials selection, lighting design, and layout optimization. - Work closely with external store design agencies to implement new store concepts and designs. - Visual Merchandising: - Develop and execute visual merchandising strategies that elevate the in-store brand experience, drive foot traffic, and optimize sales. - Create seasonal visual merchandising guidelines for use across APAC markets, ensuring a consistent brand narrative. - Collaborate with product and commercial teams to highlight key product lines and seasonal campaigns within the store design. - In-Store Marketing Activations: - Partner with the marketing team to create and execute in-store activations, ensuring they are integrated with the broader marketing strategy and campaigns. - Plan and implement local marketing activations, pop-ups, and events that enhance customer engagement and brand presence in key markets. - Measure the effectiveness of in-store activations and make data-driven decisions to optimize future initiatives. - Stakeholder Management: - Act as the key point of contact for senior stakeholders across the global and regional marketing, commercial, and retail operations teams. - Collaborate with senior leadership to align store design and visual merchandising strategies with business objectives and market needs. - Present store design concepts and initiatives to senior stakeholders and gain buy-in for key projects. Team Leadership and Talent Development: - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team responsible for store design, visual merchandising, and in-store marketing across the APAC region. - Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation, ensuring the team stays at the forefront of industry trends and best practices. - Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities, helping team members grow their expertise in retail design, visual merchandising, and marketing activations. - Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the team, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. - Budget and Project Management: - Manage the store design and visual merchandising budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions that do not compromise on quality or brand standards. - Lead project timelines, manage external vendors, and oversee all aspects of project delivery, from concept through to execution. Key Qualifications: - Experience: - 8-10 years of experience in retail marketing, with a focus on store design, visual merchandising, and in-store activations. - Proven experience in managing large-scale retail rollouts across multiple markets, preferably within APAC. - Experience working with global and regional stakeholders across marketing, commercial, and retail operations. - Store design agency experience is a plus, with a strong understanding of materials, lighting, space design, and budgeting. - Skills: - Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver within budget and on time. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present ideas and concepts to senior leadership. - Creative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of retail environments and customer experience. - Proficient in retail design software (e.g., CAD, SketchUp) and visual merchandising tools. - Strong business acumen with the ability to translate store design into commercial success. - Education: - Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, architecture, or a related field is preferred. Additional Information: - Travel across the APAC region may be required for store openings, activations, and stakeholder meetings. - Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Madarin is helpful and additional languages spoken in the APAC region is a plus
