MAIN ACTIVITIES - Achieving sales & EBITDA targets aligned with new product and new market development for the ongoing year - Execute and lead EV-Battery China 5 year plan in alignment with APAC and Global EV-Battery 5 year plan as well as together with the development of a mid/long term plan for battery - Develop & execute strategic directions & projects for EV-Battery in China market with aligned APAC direction, including acquisition or strategic partnership - Coordinate and supervise the China EV-Battery resources in order to deliver their objectives with further estimation to APAC market - Achievement of selected milestones specific to new product development related to those applications and segements - Creation of new insights in marketplace through partnership with R&D and techno scouting to contribute to build target technology road map - Attend and represent company at relevant industry events to support the promotion of company technologies and uncover market insights and data - Sponsor and lead cross-functional projects to scope the appropriate product range/application and manage the roll-out with appropriate trainings and MarCom support required for the promotional strategies Creation of strategic market analysis to support and direct current customer development - Identify key players and new prospects in the battery ecosystem - Development of global Key accounts in China and with deep exploration in the APAC region: identify higher level contacts at key stake holders, build/maintain its network, and build strategic Key account plans. Leveraging synergies with company - Accountable to the APAC Steering committee and Global Battery Steering committee. - Responsible for YOY revenue growth according to GBU targets. - Responsible for setting & establishing annual budget for the EV-Battery network - Execute strategic plans developed by the Global Director Battery, e-Mobility - Work collaboratively with business, marketing and technical teams and define operational roadmap and actions to fully benefit from our group synergies for China aligning with APAC strategy JOB DIMENSIONS - In this position, the EV-Battery Manager (“EBM”) will focus and grow company presence and penetration of the EV and more generally Battery markets across the Chinaterritory for the 4 main segments globally defined in the Durable Goods (“DG”) GBU: Cell assembly, pack assembly, Thermal Management, Fire protection and Electronics. The EBM will work in tandem with the APAC Mobility Director, the Global Director Battery, e-Mobility, the global R&D leader for Mobility/Battery, the Business Development leaders and the local relays in the different countries; including Sales Manager, Technical Service Manager, R&D, Customer Service, Marketing and Product Line Managers to drive profitable growth on EV-Battery applications. The EBM will be the regional coordinator of any EV-Battery initiatives, following strategic directions from the Global Director Battery, e-Mobility. CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT - Position focused on new business development. Innovation is a key driver for success. The ability to lead in a matrixed work environment is critical to succeed in the role to driving company DG GBU developments in the EV-Battery market. The capability to act and interact regionally throughout China region with strong relays and connection to APAC and global key stakeholders is key. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Technical field is required (Chemistry, Engineering). MBA preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of successful Business Development or Product Management or related experience desired in the Automotive industry. Specific knowledge of battery market sector will be an additional benefit. - Proven experience working through matrix organization, strong cross culture mindset, pushing global initiatives to the marketplace. - Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit - Ability to self-motivate and tenacity in focusing for results - Strong business development acumen - Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with a strong understanding of various communication methods. - Must possess a positive, “can do” attitude with an assertive engagement mentality and illustrates good collaboration external and internal. - Excellent personal and interpersonal working skills. - Must be proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, LinkedIn, web-site navigation and CRM software. - Ability to travel 40% of the time (including regular overnight travel as needed). - Located in Shanghai is desirable.
