Job Responsibility :
- Develop a detailed and realistic costing sheet model based on the Engineering capabilities of factories and aligned with ACT methodology. This model should provide sufficient insight and understanding of final price can vary based on different circumstances (volume, season, efficiency, etc.)
- Work closely with supplier and factories to build their capacity to use the established costing model.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database to track product cost breakdown for different products, countries, volumes, production seasons etc. Ensure that the dataset includes existing data and is regularly updated.
- Develop a methodology to accurately estimate the cost of the product based on engineering and supply chain indicators such as labor cost, raw material costs, the efficiency of the factory, volume etc.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to develop reports on the cost database. The reporting system should flag any significant discrepancies between costs estimated by our internal systems and costs declared by the supplier and track the discrepancies between the final price in the invoice against final price agreed between the supplier and the buyer.
- Work closely with the suppliers to understand and report on the % increase in the CMT costs , reporting findings to local and head office teams
- Document the costing methodology, data collection, data risk management system, and governance structures. Ensure roles and responsibilities between buying and sourcing organizations are clearly defined in SOP, this will be subjected to independent assurance. The specialist needs to prepare with and get approval from local and head office management
- Ensure that the BESTSELLER commitments and requirements, costing methodology and other relevant information is clearly communicated with the relevant suppliers and documented
Job Requirement :
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- More than 5 years’ experience of working with quotation, garment cost calculation at trading company and/or factory is preferred
- Textile Engineering background with knowledge of different costing models and supplier / factories business models
- Excellent negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Data Analysis Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in English
- Experience working with Cambodia is a plus
- Ability to travel as required.
