Product categories: Non-Electrical or Electrical, incl. DIY tools and accessories, garden tools, electrical installation, seasonal home appliance, etc.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review and align product quality requirement in line with relevant regulations and the group requirement with international Quality Management department.
- Communicate with stakeholders on the product quality requirement in terms of the company procedures.
- Work closely with other project stakeholders to manage project tracking with keeping all technical milestone per the agreed timeline.
- Product preview, comparison, evaluation and verification in quality wise together with legal document and test reports.
- Technical data verification of labelling, instruction manual and artwork etc. per specification, relevant regulations and the group requirement with counterpart in international Quality Management department.
- Prepare a quality control plan for specific production and inspection check point; Support SP and supplier technically in the inspection process; Review pre-shipment inspection reports for shipment disposition; Monitor quality performance improvement of factory if applicable.
- Handle claim / complaint on quality issue with key stakeholders, ensuring the implementation of corrective actions taken by suppliers.
- New supplier pre-audit if needed; Conduct supplier evaluation, process coaching and market feedback sharing for continuous quality improvement.
- Onboard training for engineer; Knowledge share / coaching internally on new requirement or technical aspects of product sub-group; Provide technical support to team members on quality issue, aiming at problem solving; Guide junior teammates on project handling, voicing out process findings or quality issues for future improvement.
- Lead or contribute process improvement initiatives or specific projects with cross-functional or cross-location stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or above in related science and / or engineering areas;
- Over 8 years working experience on quality assurance in related products categories, experience in sourcing office or testing labs is preferred.
- Familiar with European directive / standard / policy, and good knowledge in DIY products.
- Strong knowledge of quality management tools; Be experience in quality issue analysis and solving.
- Strong time management and project monitoring skills.
- Good communication, good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Local language.
- Good at office suite software, like MS office, Google workspace etc.
- Be willing to travel to suppliers or factories location.
