Lead OOG & BBK sales within China, creating, implementing, and reinforcing the sales strategy for maximization of market share and contributions. This role is the lead for sales policy and structure, organizes and guides the respective sales forecast ensuring a consistent and focused sales strategy, also providing customized solutions, ensuring exceptional service, and resolving intricate logistical challenges to meet the specific needs of clients. The position targets to effective sales team management on OOG&BBK trades with particular focus on the continuous reinforcement of Company commercial development and corporate branding in whole China region.
Key Responsibilities - Responsible for OOG & BBK commercial budget setting and realization, setting relevant targets per trade and per branch across regions, in line with group strategy and HO/ARO guidance. - Lead and coach a specialized sales team focusing on OOG, Breakbulk trades, demonstrating expertise in both product and industry knowledge. - Act as China expert on all OOG/BB related matters, including but not limited to market pricing, specific commodities, competition, equipment needs, and the overall CMA CGM OOG & BBK offering - Ensure team proficiency in selling specialized products according to CMA CGM's strategy, and guides sales to meet overall company OOG & BBK volume targets. - Develop and maintain regional & national and trade-lane specific business action plans and objectives to achieve or exceed weekly budget/volumes. - Joint visit with regional focal to core customers for business development and maintenance, applying product and industry expertise. - Represent CMA CGM at industry/cargo related functions, ensuring proper exposure to the trade and key clients as well as developing additional market knowledge for the company, establishing specialized commercial action plans, and drawing on products. - Monitor team performance to fulfill the allocation budget while meeting required increase ratio of Y-O-Y volume performance and propose corrective measures as necessary. - Promote specialized products and services to customers and prospects, showcasing deep product and industry understanding. - Identify market opportunities, develop market share, and improve revenues according to the commercial strategy. - Collect local marketing information, competitors’ information, paying close attention to any changes in the market with duly quality reports to country sales management / Lines Management / ARO OOG management. - Intervene in business negotiations with HO&RO if need any escalation by network. Work with respective trade teams to ensure minimum contribution levels are clearly communicated to sales enabling highest paying cargo to be accepted. - Work with regional sales teams to create a national equipment forecast, ensuring that we cover our commitments to our customer base and avoiding unnecessary expenditures on equipment repositioning. - Ensure push & pull sales follow up occurs between China offices and respective origins/destinations. Work to develop key relationships within primary origins/destinations to ensure clear lines of communication and consistent exchange of information. - Liaise with internal departments and overseas/other domestic offices to monitor, guarantee and evaluate the service provided to customers - Analyze OOG & BBK performance to report to country management, HO & ARO management, area and sales manager. - Help organize, manage, optimize and develop local operation including all aspects of operation, client relationship, business development, finance and human resources. - Keep cost-effective mindset, with proper risk management. - Uphold good corporate image in local market via extensive external communication with all stakeholders, developing and maintaining sound relationship with local authorities, all related vendors and agents. - Improve and follow up team reports in collaboration with Sales Performance Manager. - Organize team meetings and raise alerts to direct management when objectives not in line with targets. - Better balance team resources on customer allocation and support team on problem solving. - Coaching and elevating team members skills, as well as accompanying them in their professional development.
Required Experience & Skills 1) 5+ years as an OOG & BBK and Project Manager and strong knowledge in Shipping (minimum 10+ Years of experience), being familiar with local shipping market with extensive and solid networking. 2) Management Skills, Leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. 3) Expertise in specialized products. 4) Effective communication and interpersonal skills (Ability to articulate various business scenarios with customers, senior business leaders & middle management, to build and nurture relationships). 5) Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. 6) Analytical mindset with ability to use data to dive decision making. 7) Highly energetic, ambitious, well-organized, and results-oriented, with analytical thinking ability and commercial acumen. Fluent in Mandarin and English, with solid computer skills including data analysis, proficiency with MS Office and PowerPoint presentation skills.
