Major responsibilities:
Support the Department Head in formulate Corporate Governance Framework for CapitaLand Investment China:
o Fraud Investigation: 1 Execute internal investigations, including fraud detection, employee misconduct, and ethical breaches. 2 Collaborate with relevant teams for impartial and thorough investigations, recommending appropriate actions. 3 Prepare investigation reports that include detailed findings and actionable suggestions to enhance the company’s overall control and follow up to ensure timely implementation.
o Operational Compliance Review & Control Self-Assessment: 1 Plan and execute comprehensive operational compliance reviews on CLI China project company, including leasing, marcom, property management, financial audit areas. Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements. 2 Spearhead comprehensive compliance audits meticulously evaluating the organization's adherence to internal protocols and regulatory stipulations. 3 Foster seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to effectively address audit findings and expedite the implementation of remedial actions.
o Ensure Coherence between Risk Management Policy and SOPs: 1 Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) from diverse business functions to ensure consistency and effectiveness across the organization. 2 Management the database for SOPs and ensure timely dissemination to the relevant business functions. 3 Identify control weaknesses and propose improvement recommendations. 4 Assist in reviewing policies and procedures, recommending necessary amendments.
o Quarterly regulatory non-compliance reporting: 1 Prepare and submit quarterly regulatory non-compliance reports, providing accurate and timely updates on the organization's adherence to regulatory standards.
o Annual RCSA Reporting: 1 Coordinate the annual Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) reporting process, analyzing risks and controls across various functions.
o Coordination with CLI Group Internal Audit 1 Collaborate closely with the Internal Audit, ensuring alignment on compliance initiatives and risk management strategies. 2 Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure the efficient completion of audit tasks as per the established audit plan.
o Risk Assessment Group Function: 1 Conduct risk assessments for prospective investment ventures, focusing on local policy and regulatory risks. 2 Foster a dynamic synergy with the Investment teams, ensuring a harmonious balance between risk exposure and potential rewards within the context of investment strategies.
o Fund Management Compliance: 1 Engage with the Public Fund Management Company (FMC) working group, contributing insights to industry-wide compliance best practices. 2 Champion the formulation of compliance programs tailored to the fund industry and conduct regular monitoring to ensure execution in accordance with program.
Requirements & Capabilities:
1 A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Law, or a cognate discipline. A master’s degree is regarded as advantageous. 2 A minimum of 8 years of progressively enriching experience within the realms of risk management and compliance, inclusive of a tenure of at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. 3 A profound grasp of regulatory frameworks, corporate governance paradigms, and risk assessment methodologies is indispensable. 4 Exceptional verbal and written communication acumen, complemented by an innate ability to seamlessly collaborate across multifarious departments. 5 A proven leadership trajectory underscored by the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse and dynamic team.
