Merchandise Sourcing Lead (MSL) is responsible for factory implementation in each factory. As the window of communication between corporate and the related factory, MSL need to accurately and effectively follow up new project development and promotion program. MSL also need to lead cost management, factory performance management and process improvement. While timely solve factory’s relevant problems to help factory reach requirements, MSL also need to manage MSS and support the work of MSM.
Responsibilities
1. Production management a) Lead promotion program and confirm production schedules with assigned Factories and internal team, resolves timeline issues. b) Lead new project development in assigned factory and complete development within timeline. c) Support CMF/R&D team to complete CMF/R&D development in assigned factory. d) Manage factory capacity, review and analysis gap between committed factory capacity and business need, work with factory to acquire enough capacity to support business need. e) Coordinate with internal cross function team to handle urgent case, manage shipment with RRA (Risk Release Authorization). f) Resolves production conflicts and escalates unresolved production conflicts to MSL.
2. Supplier management a) Contribute on factory strategy creations and effective implementation. b) Lead factory performance management and help factory to improve performance.
3. Cost management a) Lead negotiations of Tooling cost/Product Cost with assigned factory. b) Negotiate annual price agreement with assigned factory, control sample cost based on manufacture agreement and manage other factory expense, such as setup cost/LCL fee/factory audit fee… c) Negotiate customer claim with assigned factory. d) File management. (paper management and e - copy).
4. Process improvement a) Investigate existing process and look for opportunity of improvement. b) Lead process upgrade and setup through collaborate with cross function team. c) Participate companywide continual improvement program.
5. Team management a) Manage performance of team member. b) Setup clear development plan for MSS, provide necessary training to MSS and help MSS to grow up. c) Support MSM/DMS to build up professional team.
工作职责: 1. 生产管理 a) 负责大型促销项目,与工厂和公司内部团队设立合理计划,保证产品及时交付。 b) 负责新项目的开发,确保在规定时间内完成开发。 c) 支持研发团队的开发工作,在规定时间内完成在相关工厂的研发工作。 d) 管理工厂产能,审查和分析工厂产能与业务需求之间的差距,与工厂合作以获得足够的产能来支持业务需求。 e) 跨部门协作处理突发紧急事件,管控风险性发货。 2. 供应商管理 a) 参与工厂策略的制定并保证工厂策略的有效执行。 b) 负责工厂绩效管理,帮助工厂提高绩效。 3. 成本管理 a) 负责与工厂的模具成本/产品成本谈判。 b) 与指定工厂进行年度价格谈判, 根据生产协议要求控制样品成本并管理工厂其他费用,如生产准备成本/拼箱费/工厂审核费等。 c) 与指定工厂就客户索赔进行谈判。 4. 流程改进 a) 审查现有工作流程并寻找改进的机会。 b) 通过与跨部门团队合作,负责流程升级和建立。 c) 参与公司范围内的持续改进计划 5. 团队管理 a) 管理团队成员的绩效。 b) 为团队成员建立清晰的发展计划,为团队成员提供必要的培训,帮助团队成员成长。
